Ingredients

1 cups coconut(grated)
1 cups roasted gram (dalia/pottu kadala)
2-3 nos green chillies
1/2 cups curd
1 pinch salt some to taste
1 tsp mustard seeds(to temper)
1 tsp split black gram dal (to temper)
1-2 nos dried red chillies (to temper)
1-2 sprig curry leaves (to temper)
1 pinch asafoetida (to temper)
Directions
Soak the roasted gram in water for at least 20 min.
Add all the Ingredients other than the ones mentioned in the Tempering section in a blender.
Blend them until smooth.
In case if its too thick, add more buttermilk till its neither too thick nor too watery.
Now in a tsp of oil, temper the ingredients given in the To temper section till the mustard seeds start popping.
