Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cups coconut(grated)


  • 1 cups roasted gram (dalia/pottu kadala)


  • 2-3 nos green chillies


  • 1/2 cups curd


  • 1 pinch salt some to taste


  • 1 tsp mustard seeds(to temper)


  • 1 tsp split black gram dal (to temper)


  • 1-2 nos dried red chillies (to temper)


  • 1-2 sprig curry leaves (to temper)


  • 1 pinch asafoetida (to temper)

Directions

  • Soak the roasted gram in water for at least 20 min.
  • Add all the Ingredients other than the ones mentioned in the Tempering section in a blender.
  • Blend them until smooth.
  • In case if its too thick, add more buttermilk till its neither too thick nor too watery.
  • Now in a tsp of oil, temper the ingredients given in the To temper section till the mustard seeds start popping.
